A Mesage from the Founder
Johanna P. Perez Founder & Executive Director, San Bernardino County Black Prideâ„¢ & Reclaiming Us Movement
San Bernardino County Black Pride is part of Reclaiming Us: A Black Pride Wellness Movement. A celebration rooted in healing, unity, and purpose.
We’re not here to dwell on what was taken; we’re here to build forward. Our movement is about creating space for Black LGBTQ+ people to thrive. Through wellness programs, cultural connection, and family healing. It’s about telling a new story of strength, not a story of loss.
I began this journey to bring genuine transformation to our community. With intention, care, and authenticity. Today, that vision is deeper than ever. We’re creating spaces where youth are uplifted, families are restored, and futures are reimagined. All centered in love and restored pride.
To our supporters, sponsors, partners, and the entire Inland Empire community: your belief makes this possible. And to anyone who wondered if we’d returned, know this: our movement never paused. We simply refocused, healed inwardly, and now we’re shining brighter than ever. This isn’t about starting again. It’s about continuing with vision, power, and purpose intact. – Johanna
